Meet the team
Shyronie Davis
CEO and Founder
As the Founder of Rooted Wisdom and a Trainee Psychodynamic Psychotherapist holding a Criminology degree, my journey began in mental health, emphasising the power of early intervention and mentorship. Over seven years of experience in children's well-being, mental health, mentoring, and advocacy, I've collaborated with institutions like the Metropolitan Police and NHS and YOI addressing issues such as gangs, grooming, and child exploitation.
My experiences across education, social care, and mental health sectors revealed a crucial need for positive racial esteem in youth. This insight led to the creation of Rooted Wisdom—a space dedicated to providing support and exploration of culture and heritage for marginalized youth.
As a safeguarding lead, I witnessed first-hand the challenges faced by many young people, inspiring Rooted Wisdom to offer support and instil pride through cultural exploration. Recognising the significance of representation and support in mentoring, Rooted Wisdom is committed to delivering comprehensive services for underserved youth in South London.
