We are excited to announce that Rooted Wisdom is recruiting new members for our Youth Board! We are looking for dynamic young individuals to join us in making a meaningful impact in our community.

Who We Are: Rooted Wisdom is dedicated to empowering young people through education, mental health advocacy, and cultural awareness. Our work includes a wide range of programs such as trauma-informed workshops, anti-racism initiatives, mental health sessions, and career development workshops.

What is the Youth Board? Our Youth Board is a group of young people from across London who volunteer to help ensure that Rooted Wisdom remains relevant and responsive to the needs of young people in our community. As a member of the Youth Board, you will:

  • Represent the Interests of Young People: Help us ensure our programs are high quality and meet the needs of the youth.
  • Generate Ideas: Provide advice and new ways to bring young people to the heart of Rooted Wisdom.
  • Voice for Young Londoners: Help create communications content, attend events, and represent young people’s interests.

Why Do We Need New Members? We are seeking motivated and creative young Londoners aged 18-25 who are passionate about making a difference in their local area. This year, we are looking for individuals to fill roles such as podcast specialists, social media content creators, sports coaches, mental health advocates, and more. Your involvement will help shape the future of Rooted Wisdom and amplify the voices of young people in our community.

Who Can Join the Youth Board? Any young Londoner between the ages of 18 and 25. We value diversity and are looking for volunteers from all boroughs to bring unique perspectives and experiences.

Why Should You Join?

  • Meet Like-Minded Individuals: Connect with young Londoners who share your passion for making a difference.
  • Learn How Charitable Organisations Work: Gain insights into the workings of a non-profit organisation.
  • Represent Young Londoners: Play a key role in our programs and campaigns.
  • Develop Skills: Enhance your skills in public speaking, collaborative working, and self-confidence.
